Hi! I’ve been a writer and editor for 30 years. I have written extensively in print and digital media and have held leadership editorial positions at several media companies, most recently as editor-in-chief of Lifehacker. I currently have a newsletter that updates regularly.
I co-authored a book called LET'S PANIC ABOUT BABIES! with the beloved Eden Marriott Kennedy. It was published by St. Martin's Press, and we're quite proud of it. You can read all about the book (and enjoy our book trailer, excerpts, and reviews) over here.
I’ve also taught creative nonfiction at Gotham Writers Workshop as well as privately.
But my favorite job, by far, is coaching writers: helping them realize their potential and take their vision from a vague jumble of images in their brain to a concrete plan on paper.
I can help you if you’re looking to jumpstart your writing after time away; if you’re looking for accountability and coaching; if you have a book idea but no clue how to turn that into a proposal; if you have a proposal but no clue what needs to be done to get it out the door; if you’re looking for help finding an agent; if you have a manuscript that needs editing. My clients’ projects range from short stories to self-help to memoir and research-driven works. Contact me for rates and more information.
